C.P.S.

My experience with D.H.S. and C.P.S. started out with personal advocacy over a period of years. As the years passed and as I became a more effective advocate, they started to retaliate against me. I was able to fight back effectively because 1. I didn't do anything wrong or hurt my kids and 2. I knew what to do, and 2. I had Leonard Henderson of AFRA and other helpers to make me realize that I was 1.Empowered, 2. Responsible, 3. Not alone, and 4. Not wrong in my pursuit of remedy and justice against a department and his agency who just went too far, and too fast.

THINK FAST AND ON YOUR FEET;

This is the most horrifying experience you will likely go through; having child protection services involved with your family.

You better focus on strategy; get yourself a copy of the gameboard, figure out where you are, find the applicable rules and regulations in your state, and get on the gameboard; because you are playing for your kids now whether you like it or not. NO LAWYER will help you. If you have a lawyer; BE CAREFUL. Make sure you let him know that if you drops the ball, he will be held accountable. Make sure he works for you, or fire him and tell the judge you don't understand what is happening but that you are conducting a civil investigation and that you need a leave of court to prepare your documents, to find another lawyer, ANYTHING. Say anything, say something, but SAY IT. Say it in writing as soon as possible, say it in court if it applies. Your adversary is not the court. The court is generally a part of the same company as the agency, and is likely benfitting from the process in some way. Keep in mind who the players are.

You need to learn the rules which control:

1. Attorneys

2. Clerk of court/ Court Administrator

3. Judiciary/ Judge

4. C.P.S. processes

5. C.P.S. agents

Specific positions of the agents; based upon their obligations, responsibilities, and duties of their job description and who they are paid by, who they work for, what is their purpose and/or objective, who benefits?

If you know of any attorney or lawyer who handles these cases effectively, please let me know immediately; because I want to place him on a pedestal and dance around him in praise, at least in the Internet daisy field.

If you are going to fight effectively my first advice to you, coming from someone who went through it had her case dismissed:

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, confused, afraid, and emotional. This is an awful thing to say and it goes against everything that I really believe, I am writing this because I am empathetic to your plight; not because I am heartless. This isn't real life; this is a terrible game, a real game, injected into your life, to eat away at whatever you though you had left, for as long as it takes, until you are working at Dairy Queen and your wages are being garnished and you spend whatever is left on whatever you can get your hands on to kill the pain.

I have watched this happen over, and over. I can give you examples of hundreds of thousands of cases which have gone this way; C.P.S. is a machine; an effective machine. It has no soul, it does not care about children; choices are made by data entry and readout on computer programs, workers are turned over regularly, and systems are driven by funding and financial incentives first and foremost. The money is in the sale of the child and the recoupment of services and various other funding transactions that go along with the child.
